Poplar plywood is a panel made up internally of poplar wood veneers arranged in crossed fibers while on the outside it has faces of different qualities. One of the main attributes of poplar wood is its lightness and light color tending to white.

I ABWhere face may be visible, ideal for all types of finish (plating, clear varnish, satin finish, etc.). Only a few pin knots or sound, tight ones without cracks are allowed. Very small patches, or well-made repairs where color remains consistent with the rest of the surface are also allowed.

II B"Natural" face with color variations and sound knots no longer than 10 mm in diameter, suitable for pigmented paints or lacquers. Small knot holes or hairline cracks are allowed, provided they are well-filled patched.

III BB"Closed" face, putty-filled, suitable for uses where face is not visible. Sound, tight knots up to a diameter of 30 mm are allowed; also allowed loose knots, well filled cracks and color variations.

IV CPlywood suitable for packaging or similar uses. All natural wood features (knots, cracks, etc.) are allowed, along with various processing defects, as long as they do not compromise the functionality of the panel (for example: fungus growth and iron/mineral inclusions are not permissible).

suitable for situations in which the panel is repaired, completely protected from atmospheric agents. Use: not exposed to moisture, not in contact with the ground and in a dry environment. Occasionally exposed to humidity higher than 20%. -

suitable for situations in which the panel is coated or protected with paints.The panel is sheltered, protected from atmospheric agents. Use: not in contact with the ground and in a dry environment. Occasionally exposed to humidity higher than 20%. -

Humid Internal environment | Protected outdoor
Suitable for situations in which the panel is sheltered, protected from atmospheric agents. High environmental humidity can cause occasional but not persistent humidification. Use: not in contact with the ground or standing water. Wood moisture occasionally higher than 20%.
